Hotel Listings for Visitors

AgriTours Canada has negotiated great rates for the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in 2016.

Visitors hotel blocks (listed on this web-site) are limited in terms of the number of rooms that are available at each price point for Visitors rooms.

If you are an Exhibitor or Competitor, contact AgriTours Canada as we may be able to provide you with long stay room bookings - 3 nights or more at discounted rates.

Most hotel space is released after October 8th but some rooms are available up until and including Oct. 31 depending on whether or not the block is full or not. We have come hotels that provide rooms up to the fist week prior to the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.

Agriculture Exhibitors

The Agriculture Competition brings the best of the breed for several species of livestock. The Royal Winter Fair is North America's largest Indoor Livestock Exhibition. The competitions for the non-horse part of the industry are contained in the pages listed under "Agriculture Schedule". For those wanting to see particular animal breeds and competitions, please check back for 2023 schedule which will be posted once finalized by the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair. Check the Royal Web Site closer to the dates for any scheduling changes or updates.

VISITOR HOTEL RATES FOR THE 2023 ROYAL - CHECK OUT THE GREAT HOTEL DEALS

AgriTours Canada Inc. is a pleased to again, be able to offer discounted hotel rates for Competitors to the Royal Winter Fair. Rooms at these rates, are limited for the 2023 Royal. Book as early as possible.
Some hotels are no longer allowing multiple room bookings with 1 name covering the booking. Cancellation penalties are higher this year – BE SURE TO CHECK THE CANCELLATION POLICY WITH THE HOTEL – BEFORE YOU BOOK THE ROOMS! Cancellation penalties usually require 1-night full payment!

1. Hotel Rooms are limited due to several coincidental events happening in Toronto in November, 2023. We have done our best to negotiate the best group rates we can with hotels. The number of hotels offering group rates this year is down from previous years. We hope the offering we have will help as many people and groups as possible. Please be aware of when room rates expire. 2. Booking procedures for 2023:
a. Contact the Hotel Directly. Mention the Royal Winter Fair “Exhibitor, Competitor or 4-H Royal Rates” and/or GIVE THEM the CODE indicated in the RIGHT-HAND SIDE CODE COLUMN on the following page of rates. b. On-line bookings – some hotels have web-links & rooms can be booked through these links directly, otherwise call to book. c. Group bookings of 7 rooms or more may need to be booked through AgriTours Canada, in some cases. d. Some hotels will allow small group bookings by one 4-H leader, for example, but when names are known – rooms must then transfer and be secured with a credit card by the person who will be paying for or occupying that room. e. Some hotels have non-refundable cancellation policies. Before booking, be sure to confirm cancellation penalties. f. Credit card guarantees must be provided at time of booking at most hotels. g. ALL OUR PRICES, are in Canadian dollars. If you are booking 0N-LINE with many hotel discounter sites, the prices may be in U.S. Dollars so be sure before you book with them and read their cancellation policies very carefully. 3. NEW: Ontario Hotel Lodging Tax is effective in Toronto – 13% HST + 6% Municipal Transient Sales Tax = 19% 4. SOME HOTELS MAY REQUIRE YOU TO BOOK THROUGH AGRITOURS – the reason for this is to avoid competing companies from using up our special rates at these hotels that are contracted for our clients. 5. CALL AGRITOURS FOR GROUP BOOKINGS OR LARGER ROOM BLOCKS of more than 3 rooms. 6. Unless otherwise specified, room rates are based on 1 or 2 guests per room. More than 2 guests/room will require add-on pricing of between $10 and $25/person (or more) depending on the hotel. Fold-up cots are not available in many cases due to fire code restrictions. A Note about On-Line Booking Web-sites.
There are 2 - 3 companies now that control over 90% of the travel booking websites in the United States and they control about 72% of the world’s websites for travel booking – excluding the hotel chains themselves. As such, beware of this and be aware that some things are ‘not as they seem’ when it comes to hotel bookings on-line. Most of the time, booking directly with hotel chains is your best option with the most flexibility in terms of cancellations and updating your booking. Air BnB accommodations are also available but new restrictions and security checks are being implemented due to the unfortunate incidents that have occurred from some guests who have done damages, caused disturbances, or otherwise caused cities to put restrictions on who can and cannot offer such room rentals. Be wary and be sure to check out such bookings very carefully before committing to a contract.
This is NOT to say that Expedia owned booking agencies are not legitimate or that they do not offer good deals, just be cautious and ALWAYS check the hotels home site first, as well as any of the Internet booking services owned by Expedia-like travel booking services.
